Konica Minolta Business Technologies participating in SAP Printer Vendor programme as a gold-level member

Langenhagen, Germany, May 2008

Konica Minolta Business Technologies, Inc. (President: Akio Kitani, Konica Minolta) today announced it is participating in the new SAP Printer Vendor programme, launched earlier this week by SAP AG in collaboration with leading printer manufacturers. Konica Minolta Business is participating in the programme as a gold-level member. Through participation in the programme, Konica Minolta will be able to successively release multifunctional products (MFPs) and printers using technologies stipulated in this programme.

The SAP Printer Vendor programme is a technology license programme SAP manages in cooperation with printer manufacturers to provide supreme quality printing solutions to users of SAP solutions. The programme offers participating vendors, including Konica Minolta access to specific SAP development environments that are necessary to optimise support for their devices operating within customers’ SAP solution-based environments.

Through participation in the programme, users of SAP software solutions can accurately learn about the status of Konica Minolta’s MFPs and printers. Printing from an SAP solution-based system will become easier, while enabling users to have full access to functions of Konica Minolta’s MFPs and printers, such as stapling in finishing process, image adjustment, confirmation of prints, and so on. In addition, effective printing management will become possible by taking quick actions in case of problems.

Konica Minolta is planning to achieve SAP Printer Vendor programme approval for all of its MFPs and printers, and will continue to further promote facilitation of office equipment.
