With its new bizhub PRO 2500P series, first available in Germany, France and UK from September 2008 onwards, Konica Minolta is launching three top- class monochrome production printing systems for monthly print volumes of up to eight million images. The appeal of the bizhub PRO 1600P, PRO 2000P and PRO 2500P lies in their peak productivity and outstanding image quality. In addition, the devices print to an exceptionally wide range of media without loss of speed. In line with the company’s “Scale up” motto, the bizhub PRO 2500P series perfectly meets the highest demands of modern commercial production printing.

"Our flagship model, the bizhub PRO 2500P is able to reach a maximum monthly print volume of eight million images or four million sheets. The bizhub PRO 2500P series is thus a perfect match not only for commercial printers, digital print service providers and central reprographic departments, but also for any environment with high production volumes and constant throughput."

Heavy duty cycles and top productivity levels are system-inherent as the devices are equipped with the one pass duplex technology. Two engines simultaneously print on each side of the sheets allowing a precise front-to-back registration accuracy. And with a resolution of 1,200 x 600 dpi in combination with 180 lpi the devices deliver particularly eye-catching image quality that is virtually indiscernible from offset prints.

Besides the sturdy construction of the bizhub PRO 2500P series that accounts for its highest reliability, the printers feature immense media flexibility: Each of the up to twelve paper trays can be filled with all sizes and media. The systems even print on heavy and structured paper types at top speed in highest quality. Thus, unique print products can be created easily. The systems’ media logic, which allows the handling of pre-printed pages in reading direction, provides convenient handling of even complex print jobs. Reliable forward planning of consecutive jobs with an input capacity of up to 13,800 sheets and an output capacity of up to 18,000 sheets is taken care of by the intelligent job scheduler. This powerful tool registers the supplies required to process the print jobs in the queue up to eight hours ahead. Furthermore, the scheduler corresponds seamlessly with the paper catalogue which lists defined media available in the system. The operator simply selects from the paper catalogue the media types required and is alerted if a specific paper is missing.

In line with Konica Minolta’s initiatives to protect the environment, the bizhub PRO 2500P series is very environment-friendly. The devices’ ecological appeal lies in their lowest possible ozone and noise emissions as well as the low power consumption and long service life of its components. These achievements have earned them the internationally acknowledged Energy Star.
